When you are a Jenn-air cooktop user, you must know how to replace the infinite switch on a jenn air cooktop BURNER CONTROL SWITCH.
in the United States, Jenn-Air cooktops are one of the most popular brands ever I saw. The company has been producing high-quality cooktops for over 50 years. However, sometimes parts can break or wear out and need to be replaced. One of these parts is the infinite switch which controls one of your burners.
If your burner does not turn on when you press it, or if it only turns on some of the time, this may be a sign that your infinite switch needs replacement.
What is an air cooktop?
The Air cooktop is the part above the oven where we can cook. To put it simply, the upper part that has a part like an oven where we can cook food is called a cooktop.
The top of the burner switch turns the surface element on and off. And then you can easily control how much heat the element produces. air cooktop has replacement surface burner switches for specific ranges.
It measures about 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches, with a shaft that is about 1 inch long.
Is it easy to control?
With the switch of the burner, you can turn the heat on, off, or control the heat. Since it runs on electricity, you can easily control everything with a pressing switch.
When a switch cannot generate heat in a modern oven, there may be a problem with the infinity switch. This switch is responsible for transmitting power to surface elements.
If for some reason the cooktop is not generating heat, then it needs to be checked whether it can turn on the heat or not. Check the infinity switch on the control panel for overheated or damaged terminals going to or from the infinity switch if they are in working condition.
The infinity switch must be replaced if it is faulty or broken. This may cause problems after using this switch for a long time. Then it must be replaced. Replacing that switch can make it work and the cooktop works again. Before use, you should know about the features and how it works.
The way you can change Infinite switch on a Jenn Air Cooktop:
1: Turn off the power to your Zen-Air cooktop from the front of the electrical panel.

4: Start the next task when the power is properly disconnected.
5: Remove the screws from the front of the control panel and set them aside so you don’t lose them.
Now you should follow this process…
Lift the cooktop off the countertop enough to slide two or three boards under it to hold the countertop in place if the cooktop is hard-wired into the electrical circuit.
Remove the cooktop from the countertop and onto a stable work surface while you unplug the unit from a wall outlet.
Move it carefully so that there is no corrosion or any broken part. Pull the control knobs from the cooktop and then Remove the three screws from the four sides of the burner box to release the top of the cooktop.

If no one is there to help, disconnect it yourself by holding the top with one hand and the other hand. Locate the switch plate in the circuit where the switches are inside the cooktop You can identify it by the control knob stalks extending through the metal plate.

Be careful at this point. Don’t mess up between switches.
Use needle-nose pliers to remove one wire at a time from the original switch and place it on the replacement switch or you can use something sharp to replace the thin sharp wires one by one from the original one to the replaceable one.
Drop the affected infinity switch. Secure the replacement switch to the plate using the two screws you removed from the original switch.
Carefully, lower the switch plate into the burner box, try not to be so hard, and pressure the switch plate.
You have to use your gentle hand to secure the switch plate to the burner box with the screws you removed earlier. Place the burner box on top of the cooktop. Lock the top of the box with the 12 screws you removed earlier.
Put your cooktop into the hole in the countertop and place it the same as before. Return the control knobs to the switch stalks. Plug the cooktop back into the wall electric socket.
